Honorary Fellow Skip Gates, honoured in Boston Heritage Centre dedication

Honorary Fellow, Dr. Henry Louis 'Skip' Gates, Jr., has been honoured in a new initiative by American Ancestors, a leading nonprofit centre for family history, heritage and culture based in Boston, USA.
Earlier this week, the organisation unveiled the 'Family Heritage Experience' in its newly renovated Back Bay location. The building has been named the 'Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Family Heritage Center', recognising the historian鈥檚 enduring contributions to the field of genealogy and cultural heritage.
鈥淭his exhibition is not just about history鈥攊t鈥檚 about identity, connection, and discovery,鈥 said Dr. Gates at the opening ceremony. 鈥淚鈥檓 deeply honoured to be part of a space that invites everyone to explore the rich stories of where they come from.鈥
Founded in 1845, American Ancestors now supports over 400,000 members worldwide with resources, research, and education in genealogy and heritage.
